Cheese Steak
Fellow Steemians, @bigpchef here with another edition of bigpmedibles. Last time we enjoyed some medicated nacho cheese sauce with fries, and a burger. Today I have for you a cheese steak, and some tatertots.
Let me tell you, when you have the munchies and you are staring down a plate of that...oh man, it's a magical feeling.
The cheese steak portion of this recipe couldn't be easier.
Medicated nacho cheese sauce- I had some left over from the last recipe
Red bell pepper
Yellow bell pepper
Onions
Favorite hoagie style bread
Favorite left over steak- I had one piece left from my reverse sear
Oh that's right, I just had to go with some jalapeno cheese bread.
Rough chop those veggies into thin slices, ain't no fufu cuts here.
Slice into that filet-thin slices. Remember to cut across the grain.
Quickly sear the slices of steak in some butter, and olive oil.
Make sure to cook the veggies down till ooey, gooey. Just like you'll find in any cheese steak shop. Fuck! I should have added mushrooms.
Never forget to grill/brown the bread. Cold/Room temp bread is for suckers.
Oh you can see the beauty coming together.
Will you look at that ooze with love?!
It's like witnessing the miracle of birth.
Garlic Parm Tots
If you know how Bigp operates, you know he won't leave you hanging without a delicious sidekick. And this time it's medicated. That's right, baby!!
Taters tots is why potatoes came into existence- you'll need some of those
Parmesan cheese
Butter
Activated marijuana chips-wtf is this?! - see below
Some pungent garlic
I press my own rosin at home. What's that you ask? I apply heated pressure to bud to squeeze out their juices. I will go more in depth with a rosin/concentrate post in the new future. What's left over after pressed bud is activated (carboxylated) marijuana chips. You could eat them straight, would definitely give you an edible buzz, albeit a minor one because most of the trichomes have been squeezed out. They do taste bitter though. I figure, why not chop these bad boys up, and let them act as "parsley" for my garlic tots. Oh yes yes yes!!!
Cook the garlic, and bud chips in butter over low heat till your whole house smells like weed and garlic. You'll know when it's ready.
Pour that buttery goodness over the tots, and then add the parm. Mix em up gently.
Oh yes, that is what I call a munchie meal.
Thank you everyone for reading. Thank you to the Tuck clan. @bigpchef signing off. Till next time, may your meals be plentiful, and medicated.
