Marijuana As a Spiritual Tool

My Experience With Weed

Ganja.jpg

I. Fucking. Love. Weed... Period.

What I don't love are the negative associations that come with it.

Quick General Info About Ganja

  • This lovely plant has never and will never kill anybody

  • Is it addictive? Sure. But only as addictive as food can be - it is not a "physical" addiction such as alcohol and other drugs

  • For just about every manufactured prescription drug, there is a strain of weed that can replicate the same effects

  • It may take a couple times of smoking to experience your first high (I speak from experience)

  • It is possible to quickly build up a tolerance

My Past

I'mma be completely honest - I used to be a pothead. I'm now prescribed medicinal marijuana for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) but I've been smoking (basically consistently) for about 3 and a half years. I have taken breaks in between because I was addicted. And when I say addicted I was just really obsessed with the feeling of being high. But eventually, that started to change...

The more I smoked the less intense my high was. It also took me twice as much (if not more) THC to get me high than it did when I first started. But the worst part for me: I couldn't remember my dreams. I was no longer having premonitions or becoming lucid. That's when I stopped being a pothead.

My friends and just about everyone else I know smoke just for the "feeling"... they never do anything with that feeling. And out of everyone I know, most people just smoke for "party" purposes (using it socially).

When I first started smoking, (and when I smoke currently), I used that "high feeling" for different purposes. When I am high I can start remembering dreams I forgot I ever had. My intuition is already pretty elevated on a daily basis but smoking just doubles it. Twice as many synchronicities ("coincidences") happen. But the best thing I find it helpful for is meditation.

Intention is key

What I've realized through my "smoking career" is that the intention and energy you put towards your smoke-sesh really will truly deliver the experience of your high. When you finish rolling your blunt, or packing your bowl, or eating your brownie...etc, think about how you want your experience to go.

When I smoke just for the hell of it, I obviously still have an experience but it chooses how it wants to go itself. But when I have an intention for my high, that's what happens.

For Example: If I want to relax and calm down that's what it does for me. Or if I want to use it to be creative and write music - it does that. If I want to get really hungry before I fuck it up at the buffet - it does that. (Now of course, there are other factors at play like how much you consumed, the strain, and how you consumed it. But for the most part, our intention is the strongest factor).

Using Marijuana Spiritually

As I stated, one of the most helpful things to use weed for is meditation. The best way I can describe it is that for me, it literally "speeds up" the process. Like when I'm sober and I meditate, it takes some time to completely disconnect and just focus within. With weed, it's almost instant. Even without physically laying on my back, when I'm high it's like I'm already meditating.

Combining your intention with meditation seriously expands your consciousness. There are so many studies out there on how weed heals/helps physically but it also does the same to your energy body. When I smoke, I can really feel the energy shifting from chakra to chakra when I'm "running through them" during my meditation process - I'd like to say this is because they open wider.

When I first started smoking, before I even considered myself "spiritual", I would start asking really philosophical questions. Just to myself. Like, "why are there so many people in the world", "what is our purpose", "why am I here". Now that I've been on my spiritual journey for a bit now, I ask more personal questions related to myself.

I feel as though smoking naturally shifts your conscious/density up. But how you react to being high determines if you'll stay up in 4th and 5th density or not.

In Conclusion

As you (should) know, I'm not a scientific learning page - just someone who likes to share experiences and help raise others' consciousness. So what I want you to take away is that I believe marijuana is one of the universe's greatest tools. As my good friend @theprism says, "the universe has created natural plants and chemicals to help you cope spiritually and emotionally". So the next time you smoke keep these things in mind:

  • Stay positive
  • Use intention
  • Don't rush the smoke-sesh
  • If you smoke with others, surround yourself with high vibrating people (or at least on your level)
  • Breathe deep
  • Enjoy yourself

Sorry if my thoughts are a little unorganized/all over the place - im working on it haha. But thanks for reading!
