Marie Curie (1867-1934) was a Polish woman famous as a female scientist in France. Curie was the first woman to receive the Nobel Prize and the first to win the Nobel Prize for two separate categories.His first award was for radioactivity research (Physics, 1903) and his second Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1911. A few years later he also helped develop the world's first X-ray machine.
