Making delicious mind altering margaritas that leaves them coming back for more and declaring "That's the greatest margarita I've ever had." is as simple as it is elusive.

The recipe to make a great margarita is very simple.
There are only 7 ingredients if you don't count the iconic margarita glass (preferred)

Margatita Recipe

Ingredients:
1- kosher salt.
2- ice cubes.
3- 2 oz. tequila
3- 1/2 oz. simple syrup (if you don't have any, make up a quick and easy batch or use agave nectar)
4- 1 and 1/2 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice.
5- 2 oz. tequila
6- 1/2 oz. Triple Sec.
7- lime wedge garnish

So where do most people go from hero to zero and miss the mark?

The answer to that lies in ingredient number 5, the tequila.

Tequila can be a capricious mistress. And sometimes, cause us to do things we would never be caught doing stone cold sober. Like dancing naked at your neighbors Cinco de Mayo party, while declaring your love to everyone. We all have our stories. But still: We can't help but love tequila. It is liquid fun, after all.

So naturally, we can't help but love margaritas, too -- they are tequila's natural vehicle, and they also happen to be America's favorite cocktail. But just as some experiences gel better with tequila than others, tequilas that merge and blend better with the other ingredients make better margaritas.

Here is a list of eight tequilas that will insure you have your guest coming back for more and declaring you the Margarita Master.
