An all-female fantasy, less disturbing than the first chapter but just as magnetic and adventurous

Angelina Jolie returns to the role of Maleficent after the success of the first chapter directed by Robert Stromberg.
Aurora and Filippo announce their engagement. The marriage will unite not only two lands, but also the two kingdoms of humans and magical creatures. If the prince's parents are apparently excited, Malefica is more mistrustful. The engagement dinner will be the beginning of the trouble.

Five years ago Disney had shown great audacity, with a disturbing tale, different from the usual in themes and style, which proved to be a great success. This film takes an imperceptible but undeniable step back: Rønnìng, director of the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean, brings the film back to the safe bed of the fairytale. More space is given to the princess, the happy love story and the fight between Good and Evil.

But also important is the reinvention of the character of Malefica, whose magnetism is strongly opposed by Michelle Pfeiffer's rival queen Ingrid.
