My Work and setup so Far. Magic The Altering

Thank you everyone for your Love on my first post.
As I said I have been working on alters since about the beginning on 2021.
I was all on my own after a messy break up and moved into one my my uncle's empty places while trying to get my life back in order.

In an attempt to stave off madness I began drawing and painting for the first time in over a decade.

I started with a big full art alter. The island in my first post. I learned a few things from it and decided I needed to work on my fine detail skills.

I picked a few pieces that would be east to colour match and began a series of minor alters that I called "Reach outs" After one of the Mechanics in MTG Called Reach. I thought it was cute.

I started with simple lines and lighting.
Them moved on to bigger details, Some better than others.

Finally I felt like my detail work was starting to take on a shape and mind of it's own. and my limitation was my brush sizes. I went and got a smaller tipped brush and did began micro detailing.

I was able to mimic the pattern on the scarf in the last card and even get some texture to the piece.

I use Fluid Acrylics with a home made wet pallet. with lets the paint remain usable for longer. and I can add more water if it starts drying out.

For brushes I am using model brushes that start at a 3 and go to a 000.
There is a scrapper tool and tooth picks for clean ups if I go over something I wanted to keep.

I use a sketching pad from a painting surface, but I saw an other alters using card stock and double sided tape in a video so I want to try that for future projects. should help keep the backs of the cards clean.

Thank you for continuing with me on this journey. I have a few more catch up posts to make before I start on new stuff. I hope you keep coming back and enjoying my art.
