my old friend

her mind feels weak inside.
on the outside she portrays confidence.

she feels big inside her bones.
she knows she is the universe.

her third eye, there and present.
she knew the truth.
when she spoke it, they all ignored her.

she lived for herself.
watching the others struggle with simple emotion.

they all were confused to why she felt so much.
she felt everything from the trees swaying to your heart breaking.

in return, she gave you hope.

no one ever asked why she cured so many.
deep down it was because no one ever cured her.
she knew pain and darkness well; an old friend.

she could put herself in anyone's shoes.
she could feel energies and galaxies.
she could feel the future whispering to the past.
asking just why they were friends.

the past laughed towards the future;
she told us it was to learn.
and she told me, i would relearn each lesson i skipped.
that's why death got so close to me.
the future understood.

the past and death never got along but they always were there for each other.
she knew too much.
death though, asked her.

the pain i knew, the pain she gave me; the lasting love of life.

death and the past knew my story because they created it.
