Ladybugs

Ladybugs prey on aphids that can damage plants.

Insects can also attack to defend themselves. Some insects have a painful sting that will prevent predators from eating.

Grasshopper Deroplatys trigonodera, whose body is dyed with dried leaves, runs back and forth to mimic the leaves blown by the wind. Meanwhile, the moss-colored pellets blend with the moss-covered tree so they can be camouflaged.

Other insects are so nimble in disguise. Orchids are disguised as orchids to deceive their prey.
