Some lovely apparition
original poetry & artAngular lineaments now here,
Now nowhere your smile of burnt jade,
Your chivalrous mischief around the edges,
Smudged sage burning backwards,
You are the tides in a cedar grain.
I am the albino flower
Growing by the light of a cavefish
In a stalactited grotto - what do you know
Of my pallid lucidity? What do you glean
From my ghoulish countenance?
Neglect in the cycle of disarray,
Nonsensical fancies that crave moonlight.
I garden the youth of well-wishing desperation &
There you are crouching across from the moldy rope.
There you are, miraculous in your realness.
All these crevices are filled with musty avatars;
The spirits rise up through your serpent spine &
The elementals dance in decaying bark by firefly light.
The forces of nature commune in dissolution;
I see the mind of the sun in your eyes.
