The Road Less Travelled - Long DIstance Relationship

If you ask people, most would choose not to go into a Long Distance Relationship mainly because it's hard.

But sometimes, you would still see some people take on this very demanding challenge. I think because even though they know it's hard, they also know that it is worth it in the end.

Being in a long distance relationship requires a lot of things for it to work. You need trust, communication, patience and understanding from both parties and these are just the bare minimum. You also need ways to make your relationship engaging and prevent it from getting boring and repetitive.

Most long distance relationship will find it very hard to succeed, hence most people choose to go the other way, to choose the easier way and not the road less travelled. Because why would you expose yourself to hardships and pains when there is a much easier and simpler type of doing things and most people would have the same answer. They would be willing to take on the task because of love. They are willing to go through all of it because they love the other person and just the thought of being with that other person someday makes everything worth while. The promise of happiness with the one they love makes all the difficulties insignificant.

It's true that long distance relationships have a smaller chance of succeeding compared to regular ones but if it does happen, if they do make it, they cherish what they have and each other even more. They will not take anything for granted because they know how hard it was to be able to make it.

Long distance relationships are definitely not for everyone. It is definitely one of hardest thing you will go through if you decide to try but once you get through it as a couple, this will also be the most rewarding thing you've ever done in your life.

So for people in long distance relationships at the moment.

Always remember that you love each other and it is definitely worth all the things that you are going through right now. It will always get better :)
