Sometimes we can’t help who we are attracted to. I get that ... but sometimes .... some people choose the people they want to be with.... sometimes it’s a checklist of items .... rather than pure attraction ... or pure love ...... my grandmother used to say ..... always try to marry up ... look for qualities ... like family .... reputation .... wealth ... etc ... and if he is handsome .... than that’s even better .... she didn’t really believe in meeting someone and falling in love with them .... she believed in matches ... like arraigned marriages ... and she believed you can fall in love with the person you were paired with .... it’s funny how years later you find that situation .... some people just want a guy who meets their criteria.... like in Europe most girls want to marry an American ... bc they aren’t known to have more money .... so .. they find a handsome foreigner ..... my cousin was dating a foreigner .... and they broke up ( he prob realized she was more into the fact that he was American ).... about a year later ... she was engaged to the next handsome foreigner she met ..... its crazy ..... but that’s not love ..... you don’t love him for him .... you love him for what he can do for you ..... such a shame that unconditional love is soooo rare !
