Litecoin Continues to Tear Up The Alt Coin Market

Altcoin Litecoin (LTC) hit an all time high of $62.59 up 21.60% on Sunday August 27, 2017 and it doesn't show any signs of slowing down.

So what is Litecoin you ask? Litecoin is a Global Decentralized Currency based on Blockchain Technology. Litecoin can be stored in a wallet on your computer, tablet, phone, laptop or an offline paper wallet. Litecoin can be easily purchased and sold on a number of exchanges using all types of currencies. Litecoin can be identified on exchanges under currency symbols LTC or XLT.

With Bitcoin (BTC) reaching all time highs of $4300+, Litecoin is becoming a very attractive form of payment. Litecoin is capable of eight times as many transactions as bitcoin in a ten minute period. Litecoin has much faster confirmation times with blocks that are not full. Litecoin has proven its longevity compared to many other cryptocurrencies that have come and gone.

Litecoin is a limited supply coin, launched fairly, with no coins premined (no developer is hiding a majority somewhere), nor has it ever hard forked for any special interest groups. It is decentralized and no one person or group controls what happens to it and no one person or group can manipulate the market. Whole Litecoins are much more affordable than whole bitcoins. This helps eliminate some psychological barriers to entering the market.

If you are investing in Cryptocurrencies but do not have any Litecoin in your portfolio I recommend getting some before it hits $100+.
