The Optimal Structure of LinkedIn Profile Summary

There are several versions of how a LinkedIn Profile Summary must be develop. Here is mine, based on last 7 years writing them and taking into account inputs from latest LLM's Developments.

The LinkedIn Summary Structure I am going to proposed resembles in about 60% what your Cover Letter should be.

Since the purpose of a Covert Letter is help the Recruiter / Headhunter to make correlation/FIT between the candidate experience and the job accountabilities of the position being filled, the LinkedIn Profile Summary must respond the following questions:

{Who I´m & What I´m Searching For}: Personal presentation centered around your professional career in an 80% - 20% mix.
80% about who you are as professional, your experience, what are you searching for, and 20% about you as a person. In total no more than 10 lines. This would be your first paragraph.

Always, customize your summary for your target audience: Consider the specific industry, role, or company you're targeting and tailor your summary to their needs and interests.

{The Expertise /Experience /Value you are Selling to the Market}: Ranked / prioritized experience of what you are selling to the market in strict relation to your job search objectives. Highlight accomplishments and the value they bring to potential employers. Sell no more than 3 business functional areas of expertise each in a given sub-paragraph, if you happen to have a very disperse experience.This would be the second paragraph, a kind of synthesis or integration of your past experiences relevant to your job search objectives.

Key Skills (Soft & Technical), Abilities, Accomplishments, and Special Know How you bring to the market. Make sure they are related to your job search objectives. This would be the third paragraph or block. Highlight your transferable skills: Emphasize skills that can be applied across different roles or industries, especially if you're looking to pivot your career.

Supervisory / Managerial / Project Management experience you may have if you are searching management positions.

Finally your personality traits you want to market as valuable employee and that could resonate with company organizational culture. Showcase your passion and enthusiasm: Share what motivates and excites you about your work, as this can help you stand out and make a memorable impression.

In all paragraphs or blocks you must center on what the market is requesting, and the not in what you may know / like desire . Keep your ego under control and avoid buzzwords like seasoned spicy (condiments), award-winning, tenured. Don't be self indulgent.
