A delicious breakfast on a train with my brother, and a visit to our father (2022.12.18)

Today we ate in a dining car/restaurant car for the first time in our lives. This was not cheap (at least for us). The two dishes were 4400 Hungarian Forint (HUF), which is currently $11.50 USD, because $1 USD is currently 382.67 Hugarian Forint (HUF).

Actually this was a very expensive breakfast for us. Usually we do not spend this much amount even on a lunch, but we decided that we can afford it this time, because currently we are near Christmas, and we would like to spend quality time together.

Probably this is not considered as an expensive breakfast in most parts of Europe, but it is expensive for us. We can afford it only occasionally.

When we arrived at the house of our father, he offered us wafers, mulled wine, and soft drinks.

Shortly after we started speaking, he gave us a few tissues. He saw that I needed them. It is easy to get cold in the winter.

Later we started to browse old, childhood photos about us. I took photos about a few. This photo was taken on the fifth birthday of my brother (on 1999.03.19).

This photo is about me in the first class of the elementary school (1999-2000). I am the second from the left in the lower row (with the eye glasses).

Later our father gave us a lunch. Mashed potatoes with frikadeller. It was very delicious.

We still do not know whether he is our real father or our step father, but he acts very much like a real father. I feel like he is our real father. Maybe my brother feel the same. In addition to other things, we will discuss this too.

Before we left, I took a few photos about the garden. This is where we grew up.

When we arrived home, the sun went down. The travel was around three hours to and from the house of our father. So it was around six hours in total.

I bought chicken wings for my Harris's hawk, before we went home.

Our father will spend the Christmas somewhere else (it is already arranged), so we will not spend the Christmas with him. Maybe we will spend the New Year's Eve with him. But currently that is not certain either.

I currently do not know where we will spend the Christmas. We will see.
