Hindsight (the dangers of looking back)



We hold on to the past in two different ways: We cling to the very best times, and we cling to the very worst times.

We reach back to those best moments because we want to relive them, and to recapture the feeling we remember. We hold on to the worst times because we so desperately want to change them, through the benefit of hindsight.

But the danger here is that by doing so we can actually miss seeing more good times, and we can blindly walk into more bad times, simply because we are too busy looking back, whilst moving forward...
