Giant Pictures
To capture these gigantic images called "geoglyphs", archaeologists use drones. They photographed about 50 geometric images showing humans and animals. 25 of the giant image has never been documented before.

Legendary symbols
The images in this Peruvian landscape show monkeys and whales. "Many images show the fighters, from a distance they can be seen with the naked eye, but many are disappearing over time," said Luis Jaime Castillo of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru to "National Geographic" magazine.

On the mountain side
Different with Nazca Lines, these newly documented drawings are mostly drawn on the sides of the mountains. So the pictures are easily visible from afar. The local villagers had known him for a long time.

Witness ancient civilization
The pictures in the Palpa are estimated to be thousands of years old. It may have been created locally between 500 BC and 200 AD. These images are included in the Paracas culture and Topara culture. (Text: Hannah Fuchs / hp / yf)
