RE: The art of mastering the skill of love

Yes, love is a wonderful and fulfilling idea. Love makes many people happy, as does money, and I think it wonderful that you compared them. But why must we set one above the other. It does seem that one is more wholesome but there are many concepts like this that bring individuals happiness: exploration, education, love, money, power, attention, music, creation and consumption; these are all ways happiness is derived and are all end goals in many peoples lives.

I do not believe power is for everyone. Maybe some value it more than others, it brings them less satisfaction. I also do not believe love is for everyone. Yes it does seem wonderful but maybe for an individual the pain is not worth the happiness, or maybe the money they could be making in the meantime, while learning to love, will bring them a greater amount of happiness than that love will in the future. Who are you to say it will no?. Why should we state that love is all we need, as if deciding for everyone? Maybe love is all YOU need, but it seems you do not understand the priorities of the people who surround you and the diversity of their emotion.

Wonderfully written piece. Beautiful concepts, and I do LOVE your contribution and the way that you think. I just believe that we should stay open minded and allow people to derive happiness and fulfillment from wherever they please. Love is not the only source of those things. We humans are more diverse characters than that. And I think that maybe this argument can be simplified into:
"Happiness is all we need. Everyone seeks and deserves happiness."

P.S Wonderful Valentines Day post. Not trying to argue just maybe trying to start a discussion! :)
