Place under the sun

The old buildings, corners or refuges from reality, from the present time, time refuge, as a very popular local book of a very popular contemporary author is called today. But what is an old building that has survived time, if not exactly that - a time shelter?

Look at this - this building here impressed me with just that.

Squeezed by the newer buildings around it, it has survived, it has preserved itself. It is not intact. It has paid its price to survive, it is not even usable, it is not inhabited, it may collapse at any moment, but it has remained, it has preserved as much as it could. That's what I call real heroism in this day and age, real survival.

As a living being that fights and defends its right to exist and place under the sun to the end. Because we all have a right to a place under the sun, don't we? And just like any human struggle, which always has consequences and for which there is always a price, here too the price has been paid - fallen plaster, exposed bricks, broken windows, abandonment. But we're alive, aren't we? We are still alive. Just like this building, where less, where more we have paid the price of our existence, our place under the sun.

Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.
