National Clean your Desk Day (sorry what did you say?)

a tidy and organised desk, but there's no way you could reach that keyboard

National clean your desk day is supposed to be about increasing productivity by getting rid of the clutter around where you work.

my workbench before starting work the other day

OK clearly I'm not the "cleanest" worker, a rod of hot glass gets put down on the bench and there it stays until I need it again. It doesn't matter if that's in 5 minutes time or next week.

Yes there is a chance that sometimes I may pick up a different colour to the one I intend to and not check. But then I discover colour combos that maybe I wouldn't have tried when thinking about it.

Creativity breeds out of Chaos

OK so the studio is clearly not a place for those that like organisation.
But to go to the other side of my business, all the photos on the laptop have a system. There is a folder for every design, all with the files named with the design type, the year I created them and an SKU.
Everything is planned out, I have a bullet journal so everything is in one place. Where every idea, every little task and every appointment goes.

Will you be tidying your desk today?
Is there anything that you really need to get rid of or will you continue to work in your own system that has served you well enough before?
