I just read and resteemed and amazing post written by @bayrene about the importance of teaching children the value of money.

This case with the five year old however, shows the madness of statism and how it tries to kill all that. This five year old probably got scarred for life. Imagine the pride she must have felt. She created something. She made lemonade. She put up the stand. People got engaged and reacted positive to her iniative. Then BLAM! You're a criminal!

" According to Spicer, four local council enforcement officers approached the girl, turned on their body cameras, then launched into a “legalistic script” explaining that she'd broken the law"

I mean. Seriously? They approached the little girl and probably scared her. Imagine the humiliation. Now, this is how the state works. It doesn't want people to be happy and free. It want people to be scared little statists who can empty the pockets of those who have the willpower and courage to live by their own standards.

I truly hope this little girl hasn't been scarred for life, and that she continues to value initative and making money. Too few kids have that entrepreneurial mindset these days. They're either ashamed of doing actual work, or they're just spoiled.
