The Rock garden of chandigarh is also know as Nek chand's Rock garden after its founder Nek chand.
He was a government official and he secretly started the garden in 1957.this garden covers
40 acres of land. This whole garden is made upof waste products of industries andd home. This garden is famous for its sculpture made upof waste products i mentioned before. It is situated near sukhna lake of chandigarh, it consists of manmade waterfall and different other sculptures made from waste products like bangles, tiles, ceramic, electrical wastes and broken pipes etc. the entry fee for the adults is Rs 20.
this garden is the best place to visit in chandigarh. Photography is not prohibited here and when you get to the end of this garden you willget to see the gallery. There is the fest that is celebrated by the woments know as teej. Nek chand work on this garden was illegal but he was able to hide his work for 18 years befire its was discovered. by that time he was able to complete the sculpture of dancers, musicians and animals.
