THE PURPOSE OF CHRISTMAS

image

Hurray!!! Merry Christmas to you! In celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ this season of Christmas, i've a rhythmic pattern poetry intending to examine the purpose of Christmas today.
Peter Iyamah

Years burn life down to stub,
Yet, man tries to tie to the knob;
All at the time, we were apart
At the cold midnight,
When the wind of Christmas
Blew away the masses of our crisis.

In our heart Christmas flame
We were all glued to his love when he came,
Appearing in the likeness of a man
To atone our sins in like manner:
As a child, mild and lonely in birth,
He came to bring peace on earth.

He was fathered by a carpenter,
Yes, and he made the heaven's gate at winter.
He was a son to a Virgin Mother,
Yes, and purity was brought to order
With all the host above
We adore the King and his love.

Melody-voiced carols in the air,
With sounds of footsteps on the stair,
Sound of sleigh bells in the streets
With bright colored lights in districts,
Across the winter tonight
We shall hail the King again till midnight.

Its December like no other
A season to remember
The truth of Christmas day;
In moment as today
Where our labor and pain
Never to be remembered again.
