Maisy Kinsley

Maisy Kinsley,” whose Twitter bio said she was a senior journalist at Bloomberg, had a LinkedIn page and a professional-enough website — with a domain registered March 19, 2019 — but no stories filed in her name anywhere....
They couldn’t find a different picture of the purported reporter (nor could I), the image had odd artifacts, and even her bio photo didn’t appear in many places. The account was reported to Twitter for impersonation and quickly taken down, although an archived version can be viewed via the Wayback Machine....
This looks suspiciously like the AI people generation to me too...
There’s a different impact with deep-learning AI-generated fake still-photo faces that look realistic but aren’t attempting to match the appearance of any actual person. And they’re so new that these images have yet to get a name — perhaps deepfaces will win out.
