He put his marks all over her,
Her hands, her face, her body, her soul,
He uprooted her out of her being,
Destroyed her piece by piece
never was she the same again,
She was frightened, she stopped trusting,
Yet our shadows are ours but even that wasn’t enough for her,
His malicious ways, destroyed a little girl, that once thought she was a princess, now she is at the footstep of a home,
That she once called her own,
But the man that brought her here to this home,
Was no longer hers he inscribed the pain, into her that made her last breath as easy, as the first time she said yes to the man she loved.
