The reality fo facing death teaches us a lot about life.It reminds us that our life ib this world is limited.It makes us realize the need to be humble since our life in this earth is not going to last forever.
Life after death is promised to us by God.It is life where all sufferings sicknesses,sorrows,pains and problems are gone.
There are times when human life is not respected.Some dead bodies are just thrown away.In the case of abortion,for instance,the baby is killed before is birth.
Our Christian faith teches us to see human life as a precious gift from God;we are not its owners, but its guardians.We should see each life as an image of God that should be respected.We also want to see that in the future,when it is our turn to die,we too will also be respected.
To bury the dead is a respect we give to the person by laying him or her to his or her final rest.
Death is a common experience,death happens to all of us.We get sick and we become old,then ultimately we die.In Christian faith,death is not the end,but a beginning of another state of life with God.
*Death is like a door to a new life,a life with God himself.Thus,we have phrases like "gone to sleep "or being with God in heaven" to indicate that there is another life awaiting us,a life with the Risen Lord.
