Does Steem has too steep a curve for the new players?

So recently I experimented by powering up my steem power by 40 steems and my voting power increased such that the worth of my vote went from 0.01$ to 0.01$ aka a total of 0$ change after 40USD invested. So the question is how much do we need comers need to gain traction?

Some of you may argue that a well written post could definitely help the new comers increase their $$ substantially but as we all know for a new comer to even gain more than 50 views will be tough. So how are we suppose to let our post be viewed? The honey trap could be one method such as putting a picture of Mia Kalifa winks

So how do we increase our views and stay motivated to post daily knowing that out quality post would be ignored?
Should there be some alterations on the way votes are counted? Honestly, if someone is going to get 0.01$ for his post I doubt the inertia to shift from Facebook to Steemit would occur.
Of course, this is with the current state of Steemit. Should a easy way to start messaging our friends and connect with them adoption should be able to increase substantially. Also, new comers could be give a bonus 1.5x steem bonus for their first one month and to prevent abuse, any topping up of steem will end this bonus.
Lastly, there should definitely be incentives for invitation of friends.

I hope the 3 viewers that read this post will at least be a little convinced :). Goodnight!
