Why i joined Steemit and D tube

Hello steemians, lemme tell you a storyline.
Well the title sounds kinda vague right? Cause i know most of us came here just to earn some extra cash atleast thats what you googled and you ended up here right? Wrong!
My story is some what twisted.
Im a youtuber (check me out- youtube.com/c/luisespot) which means i had already known how to earn through videos and since i'm a freshman i obviously didnt need another hosting for my videos to get paid, at the back of my mind youtube was the only site that could pay me for watched videos but i was wrong.IMG_20180309_185208.jpg
If you joined steemit lately, youtube prolly landed you here, if true,,,that was my case too... But why did i even search it in the 1st place.IMG_20180213_195809.jpg
As a young youtuber its very difficult to get your videos seen out there and some of the things will include taking exerpts from large youtubers to get noticed. While some of the youtubers really dont care much of copyright infringement because they earn loads of cash, some wouldn't want a piece of their creative ideas being stolen and used against them as competitors, it won't just happen and they would immedietly slap you with a content id where they get to earn all your revenue or block your video_20180507_193151.JPG..worse is when they hit you with a copyright strike and you risk an account termination. So i played my cards safe and decided to do showbiz..all the celebrities stuff. 2018-05-04_11-19-13.jpg
Then there was this video that went viral in my country kenya. No sooner had it hit 100k views and started making pennies.. Youtube hit me with a community strike and my video was taken out!_20180507_192926.JPG Reason: having valgur words or nudity...which to me there wasn't any..celebrities just dont dress properly and will always swear with dispeakable words..
This did hurt me actually and i felt like a small youtuber i was being surpressed.FB_IMG_1519759215535.jpg
So i partly turned to blogging which adsense never approved. I lost hope because i wasn't good at blogging either. I had no choice but to go back to youtube and give it another shot. This time i was creating short whatsapp funny clips.2018-05-04_11-21-04.jpg
Guess what there was no copyright strikes or content id my videos where gaining views but instead they got a yellow dollar symbol _20180507_192939.JPGwhich ment you get limited ads and most of the times no ads at all..._20180507_192838.JPGi know y'all don't like ads, but to YouTuber an ad = a dollar. So yea i didn't get no money.
I was furious and started searching for "best youtube alternatives" i landed on a video of this woman @sarahjordan on youtube who earned close to $550 on a single post,Screenshot_20180507-194254.png then i knew yeah this' where i want to be. Why? cz i had some few posts on my website and i thought i will just copy and paste...found out that steemit does not like that either.as i type im thinking of so many things so its possible that i missed little finer details you wanna know that brought me hear. It took me close to a week to get my steem account.
So far i've made less than 5 posts and am yet to see how i earn here with my little posts. If you're new like me i know its so demoralising to write and no one sees it or upvotes.we have to wait! I'm not writing this for the cash, but if it has to come with it well and good. From my youtube experience i know i'll have to persevere to grow an audience and get better fruits FB_IMG_1521112549780.jpg
I did more searches on D tube and found out it had little rules as compared to YouTube. My little worry is that my country people don't know much about steemit and that no one will watch my videos, which most are political and country based.
Now you know, the reason i came to steemit was basically the negative energy that youtube made me go through. Now im here to test the power of cryptos
