Enlightenment is a Destructive Process

"Make no mistake about it – enlightenment is a destructive process. It has nothing to do with becoming better or being happier. Enlightenment is the crumbling away of untruth. It’s seeing through the facade of pretense. It’s the complete eradication of everything we imagined to be true."
– Adyashanti

I call this dismantling. Because you have to destroy your beliefs in order to rebuild from the ground up on a foundation of new truth. And every brick you lay, you know you will end up knocking down once again only to replace it with an even better one.

This love and light nonsense is extremely imbalanced and unhealthy. If you aren't delving into your fear and pain, then you aren't doing anything close to healing or growing. These emotions serve a very important purpose, and aren't meant to be avoided and stifled. Imagine trying to grow a great tree inside of a tiny planter. You can't be attached to your old dimensions of thought. Break your pot. Expand. Feel the growing pains. Grow your roots deep into the earth. Let the dense sarcophagus of illusion crumble away around you, revealing the divine light within. ✨
