What's up with Digibyte

Functionality and Working Platform or only a white paper

Digibyte has been around since January 2014, built off the LTC code (which came from the BTC code... great lineage I would say). It is seasoned, fast, inexpensive, many chains are built on it already... no promises, just real time applications... and still growing.

In short this blockchain can do it all, faster than any other, less expensive than any other, greater de-centralization than any other and arguably safer than any other in existence so far.

Speed

Digibyte can handle over 500 transactions per second... LTC can still only handle 50,that's ten times faster and that is on it's own blockchain. Also it is set to automatically increase in time to accommodate faster internet as well as usage, up to over 200,000 by 2035. My god it has only 15 second blocktimes... LTC and BTC are minutes!

Decentralized

With around 200,000 nodes it is the most decentralized blockchain thus far... BTC is around 12,000, man (EOS is arguably 21 or just over 100), this adds to it's consensus and in only 90 seconds for confirmations. In fact anyone can be a node by just running the Digibyte core wallet on your device... mine is running as I type this.

Mining

Digibyte has 5 mining algorithms compared to one or maybe two for other chains, adding to greater security and decentralization factors.

Smart Contracts

It already has working smart contracts, that are lining up (to me anyway) to become a primary legal contract blockchain. With DigiSign (like a verisign), this will impact the real estate market and set the tne for land registries, notaries and titles (small sample of use case/s).

It acts as a Cryptocurrency as well as Alt coin

You can use it as money as it is fast, safe, cheap... as a matter of fact if we think of it's lineage, we can now clearly see that BTC is Gold, LTC is Silver and DGB is Copper. Now for that "future cup of coffee use case" are you or merchants more likely to use Gold, Silver or Copper as the exchange medium, especially whenthe Copper offering will save time and money?

So why is Digibyte so inexpensive in comparison to other alts and currencies

As this crypto is already in use as both a currency and alt, with a four year track record... why is it currently only .03? For me it is great as just $100 can pick up around 3000 DGB. Now as it has taken it's time and perfected itself as opposed to hyping itself and playing catch up, this unique coin is beginning to become noticed and added to exchanges.

I think that once it hits an exchange like Coinbase, this goomer will become one of the pre-eminent cryptos in use (notice I said use). Slowly I believe this will be recognized as one of top hand full of must have cryptos... might as well start now at .03.

Closing Comment

We were all told about Bitcoin years ago but most of us did nothing. Well maybe we should not make the same mistake twice, remember 80-90% of crytpos don't even have their own blockchains and they'll fade with time, and only the legitimate UTXO blockchains (Bitcoin, Litecoin, DigiByte) will remain. Add to that DigiByte is not a company and never had a ICO, so it's never at risk of being labeled a security by the SEC...this seems to be the hot topic today and those in DGB foundations have already filed with them for that US needed clarification.

And it is so cheap today, that if you missed the original BTC train, you have another chance.
