We all get suck into the virtual world one way or another, whether is from Facebook, Instagram, Online Games or blogging without realising how much of our time have been consumed by this virtual world.
Today is about Steemit, a new form of blogging platform where you can earn Steem/SBD (Steem Block Dollar), a type of cryptocurrency just by Blogging, Upvote and Resteem. If you can write a post daily, your earning can be quite rewarding, but it also comes with a lot of hard work and socialising as well. For someone like me who is not well verse with words, it is a difficult task to write daily indeed.
The longer you are in Steemit, the more you notice it is already part of your life. You take photos of everything you do daily, the food you eat, what movies or information you have watch or read, games you play, all these can be a topic for your post or photos be used to enter all sorts of contests. You can chat and make friends with people all around the world using Discord, you can learn things like writing, singing, drawing, gardening from different kind of Discord groups!
I met a group of people that mainly writes in Chinese and was invited to join their group. They are the kindest and funniest people I met for a long time, I feel thankful to call them friends. They crack me up and made my day sometime with their frankness and their stories telling! On a serious note, I have learned a lot from them as well regarding Steemit.
But unfortunately, I realised that I don’t like to be in this virtual world too long, once a while I need to get away from the laptop, my phone and gone missing for hours, even not posting for days! I need to reconnect with the real world, do some socialising, go on a family outing, attend to my garden, take some quiet time to do my sketching/drawing or just do some baking.
This post is to remind myself live life to the fullest, online and offline!
