How does it feel when you know that one day you will die and won’t be able to shake off that rigor mortis? These kinds of thoughts sometimes just pop in the morning or when you abruptly wake up in the wee hours of the night. As humans, we are filled with so many desires and death is not present in the list, even the greatest of martyrs shake when time of death creeps. We are all aware of this inevitability and just live thinking only some people die and we will have the chance to live many more years.
Death takes life in a flash and everything becomes black like a time before you existed. People are still coming to terms with death, nobody understand how it feels to be dead and what death is and what lies beyond death.
Every living biological cell structure is designed to grow, renew and die giving chance to new life. And this is how nature works and maintains itself.
Most of us can now own to the fact that we are afraid to die it’s our nature, fear of the unknown. Many scientists have been working day and night working 24/7 to bring hope to humanity in fact one British scientist Stephen Wolfram says immortality could, indeed, become a reality, but how? This is what he said “It’s always been the case in the past that when there sort of isn’t a reason why something isn’t possible, it ends up being possible in the end,” Wolfram explains. And this is how they will do it.
Human genome to be modified by some kind of technology to include from what is already present to some additional genetic material of some organism present in the soil that is capable of braking excess amino acids that body is not capable of assimilating making us look younger forever. I think this can only be possible when we rule out the possibility of accidents.
But what if I don’t want to live forever because life without death can be so boring, just imaging this generation will be capable of living forever and the next generation and the next to come, can we even have a place to call home? How can we deal with this trillion of people? Will they even get food to eat?
Science has done a lot look what we have done in term of medicine, agriculture, technology and science. Look how vaccine has help human cope with harsh environments, fight disease and increase longevity.
Immortality will not be the cure for everything and we should just stop thinking about it and appreciate the short life span we have to live on this planet, birth and rebirth is why we are here without death, life won’t be possible.
