I was on Jeju Island, the southern island of Korea, for a month and a half and returned. Jeju Island is one of the most beautiful islands in Northeast Asia. Jeju lies along the crossroads of the busiest ports in the world and astride strategically important economic resources.
Jeju Island has a tragedy in which 30,000 people were slaughtered for more than seven years from 1948. It is the responsibility of the U.S. and the South Korean government. Even now, there is a U.S. Navy base in Jeju. I know the painful history of Jeju Island well. But while on Jeju Island, I tried to shake it off. The people of Jeju, the scenery of Jeju Island, and the food of Jeju Island were great.
