Wishing you all a Happy Holidays. Gramma Jo and her garden got some love from some visitors this week. Always nice to see loved ones.
My brother Zachary came over earlier in the week. We tended to Gramma Jo's garden. The tomatoes and cumbers are starting to come in. Zach planted some radishes and zuchini as well. Back in the day, half of her yard was a garden full of corn, beans, squash, and tomatoes. But now it's just a humble spot in the earth, just enough to let her walk out and enjoy the budding plants that her grand kids take care of for her.
Aunt Patty came over as well with home cooked dinner. She's the only one I forgot to get a photo with. But she comes over all the time. Recently she helped Gramma Jo get a simple new refrigerator to keep her fruits and veggies cold.
I been happy to see Gramma eating better, she likes the kiwi fruit. It's not easy helping someone set in their ways, who grew up on crisco, hot dogs, and fried foods. But gramma is eating her veggies and more fruits and I have noticed she doesn't catch a cold as much as she used to. We're still dealing with things, but the healthy diet helps.
And today is was a joy to see my cousin Natalie and two of her children, the talented Violinist and Softball star Savanah, and little squirmy bunches of fun, Baby Josephine, named after her great grandmother. Young Dominic must have been out and about with friends of his father. We all caught up and shared the good things happening for everyone. We also checked in on the challenges ahead and the lessons from the past. I am so proud of my cousin Natalie, she has a beautiful family, works hard at her job, and has a supportive and fun partner in her husband who I would love to see on steemit.
Thanks for stopping by my family on the fourth. I hope you are all enjoying time with loved ones or at least appreciating some time to relax and recharge for the exciting summer ahead. I look forward to catching up on comments on posts from all the cool people I meet here on Steemit.
A little update: I didn't vote on anything yesterday and today because I'm letting my power build back up so that my vote actually means something. I only try to vote around a 10-30% because I'll end up voting 300+ times a day and even then I'm thankful to give people 2-10 cents at a time. I'm still a little guy, but as you can see from the number of posts I make, they're mostly comments and replies. Your votes are appreciated: The wealth will some day go back to family, friends, and long time life goals, but more immediately goes right back into the mighty value that is steemit.
I hope you all continue sharing your talents, passions, stories, the love and the life you care about every day. However YOU enjoy steemit, I am wishing you well, A Happy Holidays to you all.
