You have a spy installed on your phone. Yes, it's Facebook Messenger

Black clouds are gathering over Facebook services, because it seems that the service cannot keep our data locked (as evidenced by the Cambridge Analytica case), and in addition, it applies far-reaching surveillance.

Facebook has officially confirmed that it scans user conversions, from text messages to photos and links. All this is to make sure that users do not abuse the communicator by sending inappropriate content (e.g. child pornography) or spread so-called fake news (fake news).

Messages on the Messenger are scanned in the same way as messages on the Facebook news channel. If the system detects messages marked as violating community standards, the Facebook administrator can read them out and block or delete them if necessary.

At the same time, the giant managed by Marek Zuckerberg claims that he is not analyzing the conversations in order to collect data that can be sold to advertisers.

Is the disclosure another argument to leave Facebook? Everyone has to answer this question for themselves, bearing in mind the fact that Messenger's talks are being monitored.

There are, of course, situations where such a procedure will bring benefits, such as the abuses mentioned in relation to the transmission of illegal content. It is also worth considering moving your contacts to one of the services that provide greater privacy and encryption of messages such as Signal or Telegram.
