A difficult transition from Facebook to Steemit

I feel your "Growing Pains" I wrote to @shon386 this evening. - Let's be honest, for the less techno/crypto/ ::cough:: 'Older Types' such as myself .. The firsts two months were the toughest.  I honestly made my last 'Personal' FB post on December, 8th 2016.  I believe I 'Joined' in 2009 (I'm usually a 'late adopter' in tech - these days)   I'm not a gambler by any means, last casino I walked in to was 1998 for a friends birthday party back in Atlantic City New Jersey.

I really did not want to go, but in fairness I 'willingly' got dragged along.  She was cute, and a nurse so who was I to “Rain on her parade – Birthday Party”.  I had a roll of 'Laundry Coins”, a tight wrapped 'fresh roll' on brand spanking new bank quarters.  This was “all I'm Bringing”, I told them.  (I was cheep & dubious) of my Hard Earned Coins.  Budget an all.

Long story short, and back to the point. I slid those new USD silvers in to the quarter slots till the “Bell Rang”!  ::Cha-Ching:: $86 poured out in US Mint quarters.  I wanted a “Poker Chip” so I cashed in and headed to the Black-Jack tables.  (I understood 21)  My friends 35 min. later came to 'Retrieve Me' – Flat Broke between the 3 $2K out of pocket.  I walked away $856 dollars (in pocket) for my $10 investment.  I have a coin from the Showboat in Atlantic City, I never “looked back”.  (or returned)

If you  like to gamble, as I referred a coworker to today on Steemit, Check out @mallorcaman and this post.  Personally you will not see me there.

I say that, to say this, about “Change” and “Growing Pains”.  Investing vs. Gambling.  Some would say all life is a gamble.  This is too loose of a statement.  I understand the term from my friend when he tells me about “Going All In”.

I left FB for Steemit, because I am an “Investor” in what I have not seen in over a decade.  It's really that Simple.  @the-alien (Perhaps I am just a better minimalist – lol)  I don't get confused or worry, checking the price of Bitcoin or Steem.  Ancillary Information at best, I just “Vest”.  I could go on about the “Blockchain” (here in @kernel Post today)  Things Shift, and for valid reasons.

Re-entering the “Blogsphere” was hard. (though rewarding)  Does anyone remember what FB looked like in 2009?  Thank you for reading.  Upvote & resteem if you like the content.
