Human Lives: does it even matter anymore?

This same question keeps ringing like a bell in my head after watching Trevor Noah's heartfelt speech about Philando Castile. To me this is not about the color or race; no, in my opinion it's not about that. Watching that video, i saw his daughter witnessing another man,a cop whose primary assignment was to protect shot her father to the point of death.

The cop didn't even think about the protection of the little girl's innocence. This girl might not remember the incident when she grow up but she would be told the incident was the reason why she grows up fatherless. Now that aside. The way he shot Philando, i think it wouldn't have matter if late Philando was a whiteman.

The cop would have shot him anyway irrespective of the race. The thing i couldn't understand is what evidence, measures are needed to stop this type events from happening?.

These were the words of Trevor Noah "I wont lie to you. When I watched this video, it broke me," said Noah. "You see so many of these videos and you start to get numb, but this one? Seeing the child, that little girl, getting out of the car after watching a man get killed, it broke my heart into little pieces."

You watch that and, forget race, are we all watching the same video?" Noah asked. "The video where a law-abiding man followed the officer’s instructions to the letter of the law, and was killed regardless? People watched that video and then voted to acquit?”
