Ethical Analysis Of Cryptos & ICOs Series - An Introduction

Although only a small percentage of the population have even heard of crypto currency, let alone own any, a growing number of people are hearing about it and are investing. Personally, I heard about Bitcoin in 2011 and started experimenting with it in 2013. The reason why I was an early adopter is that through my ‘artivism’

I became aware of libertarian and anarchist philosophies and people in those communities were excited about the disruptive potential of bitcoin.

Today, many of the investors in cryptocurrency, are just in it for the money. I don’t judge them for that. Having been More involved in the past year on the crypto scene, I see the effect that greed has on me and how tempting it is to invest in any coin, no matter what it’s ethics/values.

I have questioned the whole idea of money in this recent video

Eventually, when we realise who we really are and that we are all a holographic part of the one consciousness, we won’t need or want to barter or trade. We won’t need or want to COMPETE with each other. We won’t need or want to USE each other to get our needs met. We will treat each other like the brothers and sisters we are and voluntarily share our gifts with others. See the amazing teacher Tom Cambell talk about this.

Until then, people are going to want to trade and should surely be able to do so without interference from some ruling class of people who think they have magical God given powers that we don’t have and therefore we MAY BE better off with decentralised currencies and services than centralised ones.

So although it’s great fun and potentially life changing to generate profits from cryptos, for me, the disruption of the twisted system (some call it the ‘shitstem!’) is exponentially more important and interesting than the potential profits. And for me, that disruption must come with the values of love, compassion and the non aggression principle at its core.

So, with the help of various people including an anonymous friend, AKA The sourcerer, who in my opinion has a brilliant mind, I intend to produce a series of blogs About Specific Crypto-Currencies and ICOs and Their Implications from an Ethical/values Point of View, which very few crypto commentators seem to talk about.

And as always, we look forward to your comments and contributions to the discussion. Please let us know in the comments which ICOs and/or cryptos you would like us to analyse.

I will of course be sharing the rewards with the the researchers, which is one of the great features about Steemit.

Stay tuned!!
