How to save money on your electric bill

Did you know that you can save a significant amount of money if you simply shut off the power for your water heater?

Yes, its true. I have been doing this for a few years now and it has proved great savings on my bill monthly.

Shutting off the water heater at the circuit breaker every day can save you at least 20 bucks a month on your bill. I live in Florida and I run my AC ALL summer long but I my average electric bill has never been over $90 bucks. Before doing this money saving tip I would have a bill about $120 or so. Of course those months when it is cold and there is no need for the AC unit to run, my bill is even less. Yes of course savings will be determined by the square footage, occupants and age of the house. But lets face it, any savings would be a great thing.

When you are ready for hot water, most time the water that’s in the heater before you turned it off is still heated so you can use that but if you are in need of more hot water just click the power back on and in 15 minutes or so hot water will be restored. I practice this tip everyday and only use HOT water when I need it. When I first learned this tip I had 3 in my household. I still do this till this day and it’s only me. Hope this is helpful.

We all want to make money, not waste it unnecessarily!

Be blessed
Yaya
