Bhola municipality is a city-based local government organization in Bhola district of Bangladesh. 1st September 1976 Bhola municipality was established.

Administrative Infrastructure

Bhola Municipality area is 31.48 sq km. Bapta and Dhanya union in the north, Bapta and Alinagar union in the south, Shibpur union on the east and Bapta union on the west. [5] This municipality consists of 9 wards. In 9 wards, 9 general ward councilors and three reserved seats are elected female councilors. Honorable mayor and respected councilors are elected by direct public vote.

According to the 2011 census, the population of Bhola Municipality area is 83,112. Males constitute 43% of the population and females 40, 950. [6]
