The problem with the first suggestion is it implies you will be more productive, but the simple act of dropping off and picking up your laundry will probably take you 30 minutes anyway at which point you might as well just do it yourself. If you have lots of extra cash it would be more productive to hire a weekly maid service and ask them to do the laundry, but only if you will be doing something more economically profitable at the same time.
