Imagine the whole world having an opinion about you without ever meeting you. Imagine every decision you made being deliberated upon under the microscopic lenses of the world. How about millions of people having second unwarranted opinions about everything you did? Not forgetting tons of unsolicited advice from millions of people you never even knew, most varying in their conviction of what is right or wrong. Cold hun?
I'm guilty too. I have had somethings, many things to say about the decisions and lifestyles of certain celebrities. Don't get me wrong now. I know many of them make questionable choices and as intellectual adults we owe it to ourselves and the younger generation to call out unruly behaviors that leave negative trails on the youth and coming generations.
However, where do we draw the line. At some point we must realise no matter how good or bad a person is, we ought to let love not judgement lead the way.
We have to learn to respect the privacies of others especially people who continually have had those rights denied of them. As a people who are thriving towards a better global state, we ought to treat ourselves better. We ought to give what we want to receive from another. If scrutinising isn't what we desire from another, then scrutiny isn't what we should give to another. I'm learning this too, I'm also learning to remember 'celebrities are people too'.
