Life Protip: Do What You Say You'll Do

Amazing how rare that is these days eh?

Doing what you say you'll do.

Just because it's "acceptable" to backtrack on your commitments to yourself or others, doesn't mean it's okay.

We've become too soft. Too accepting. Too lax on the standards we set for ourselves.

And it's a huge problem.

If you agree to meet someone for drinks... catching up on the latest Netflix show is not an excuse.

If you agree to a deadline for work or otherwise, meet it... every single time.

If you say you'll respond to an email, give feedback, or call the restaurant to make an appointment. Make it happen.

If you say you're going to quit smoking, quit eating shit food, or quit being so negative... go to work.

No need to underpromise and over deliver. Keeping your word is the super power of our time.

Do what you say you will. You'll make mistakes, you'll mess up, but aiming for perfection is much better than not trying at all.

I promise every area of your life will improve.

I wrote this post for me. Perhaps you can relate.
