Hello Steemit community!
A few months ago I came across a Craigslist post...someone needed a hand putting together a new live show they were doing at a reputable high-end bar in downtown Seattle.
Fast forward to today, I'm the co-producer of a live GTQ+ variety show at The Triple Door, Unite Seattle LIVE.
The reputation of Editor M.K. Scott landed us the venue and now we have to prove we're worthy of the spot.
All of our budget for the live show is derived from the ad revenue of the magazine published under the same name. That, of course, combined with founder M.K. Scott's personal funds until we get our feet under us.
Unite Seattle Magazine is naturally struggling where most other publications are as well. Revenue.
With a local and niche subject, our early attempts at attaining ad buys may prove difficult for a localized publication: So we're switching it up and trying some new ways of advertising with smaller, local businesses.
I know the crowdfunding dapp Fundition.io has created Steemit's first E-Zine and I love the idea of a block-chain backed publication!
I'll be posting regularly until we get to issue three for July/August.
So, without further ado, here is the inaugural issue of Unite Seattle Mag from February 2018!
