Brainwashed concerning the person who's the epitome of evil

A quick thought that could ruffle some feathers. When a person in the USA typically makes a comparison to an evil person they usually use Hitler as the comparison. It is as if he is automatically the most evil person ever! Using him as an example or epitome of evil is something school children and church goers learn early. Well, why not use someone like, ummm let's say, King Leopold II of Belgium? Oh yes, there are others!

Here is a piece of his evil accomplishments.....

"Leopold extracted a fortune from the Congo, initially by the collection of ivory, and - after a rise in the price of rubber in the 1890s - by forced labour from the natives to harvest and process rubber. Under his régime millions of the Congolese people died; modern estimates range from 1 to 15 million, with a consensus growing around 10 million. Human-rights abuses under his régime contributed significantly to these deaths. Reports of deaths and abuse led to a major international scandal in the early 20th century, and the Belgian government ultimately forced Leopold to relinquish control of the colony to Belgian civil administration in 1908."

Up to 10 million people died in the Congo because of this guy's evilness and greed?!?! Yet, it took for me to be well over 30 years old and happen to see a YouTube video to learn about him. I don't remember the guy being mentioned at all when I was in school. From school age and probably before, children in America are taught to believe what or who is evil. Typically the educational system leaves out people like Leopold. Even in education there are agendas.

UPDATE!!!! RT on YouTube posted the following right around the same time I submitting my blog post. It is about the Congo and the Coltan push. I heard about it some years ago. It is a serious issue and is an extension of the rubber issue during the time of Leopold.
