So many cutting edge businesses finding homes in the historic buildings where history cuddles with innovation. When your creativity spills out onto the sidewalk in the form of quirky and nerdy sidewalk art, who can help but stop in and meet the peeps?
The Goods
You don't have to look to too many of the faces in town to start seeing the coolest eye-wear in town. The who's who in the local performing arts and business community choose to accessor-eyes with some of the neatest artful but wearable frames on the planet.
When you visit, and you should!, you won't find endless shelves and displays of every format under the sun. You will discover a carefully curated collection of everything from art you wear on your face to subtle but undeniable style. It is like being a starlet in Hollywood with your own team of style consultants!
The PEOPLE!
Among the best things to come out of a couple challenging years in business in these parts, is the new wave of businesses and the people who bravely opened their doors. There are so many unique shops tucked into every corner of our wonderful town with all sorts of treasures to discover.
Owners and super stylistas Nicole and Nikki are dedicated not only to the success of their business, but to their neighbours and the whole #shoplocal network of local business owners. They insisted we include a couple other fantastic entrepreneurs who happen to be in this cool neighbourhood and we would be remiss to not share them here as well.
Kelly is firing the peace gang sign and is the owner of Corner Store Candy Co. right next door. Imagine combining core childhood memories, 20 years of banking experience, and an entrepreneurial knack with some of the sweetest products around? You simply cannot leave the store without a welcomed feeling and some treats for you and the family.
Also in this shot is another close-by business owner Aaron who adds even more personality and charm to this group. Olive Your Favourites is responsible for bringing some of the best oils and vinegars from across the world to our lucky citizens and visitors. You will visit, you will sample, and you will forever upgrade your pantry and recipes after and educational session with Aaron.
Who wouldn't want to hang with these cool kids? They support eachother like we are proudly seeing all over town and have a blast while doing it. Can't you tell?
