Rural Areas Attracting Movers in Colorado

People are ditching urban regions in Colorado like Denver for more rural conservative areas around the state.

Price motivating moves

Price is one of the major drivers for people looking to move elsewhere, the city can be very expensive. With those middle and low income earners who continue to struggle with affordability in major cities not just Denver it prompts some to wonder what the future economy might look like. There might be many positions that are unable to be filled because those wages cannot afford the cost of living for people in the area.

Colorado saw a new low of people moving into the area last year.

It isn't only fewer people moving to the region but there are new moving patterns being seen within the region as well, such as the growing preference for more conservative and rural areas.

Some say the number one reason is price that people are moving out of Colorado all together or moving away from areas like Denver.

The average price of a home in the Colorado area according to sites like Zillow, are over $572k right now for the typical home. However, across the last decade Colorado has been a top 10 state for moving popularity. The green rush many years ago we know prompted a number of medicinal users and their families to go looking to live there or other cannabis businesses to start pursuing their entrepreneurship dreams, we have seen the prices increase for living as they have elsewhere thanks to that booming demand.

coming or going?

Are more people moving out than moving in? That seems to be the trend apparently as more individuals and their families look for opportunity elsewhere.

Some of those states which have seen the biggest population increases lately have been Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
