اهْتَدَى مارسيلو بييلسا إلى طريقة "مُبتكرة" لتحفيز لاعبيه الجدد في ليدز يونايتد، وحثِّهِم على إدراك واستيعاب المسؤولية المُلقاة على عاتقهم بتمثيل الفريق الذي يُمارس في "دوري الدرجة الأولى الإنجليزي".

وذكرت صحيفة "الغارديان" البريطانية، أن المدرب الأرجنتيني طلب من لاعبيه الجدد جمع النفايات والقُمامة بمحيط المخيم التدريبي للفريق، وذلك لمدة ثلاث ساعات، وهو ما يوازي مدخولها قيمة تذكرة مشاهدة مباريات الفريق.

ويُحاول بييلسا ترسيخ روح المسؤولية في لاعبيه، وإبلاغهم بالتضحيات المالية التي يقوم بها مناصرو ليدز يونايتد من أجل متابعة المقابلات من مدرجات الملعب.
