Donner Lake Long Exposure (this one was tricky to shoot and process)

Busy weekends in Tahoe are great for shots like this. This was shot last Labor Day, as all the tourist traffic was leaving the area. Hwy 80 can be seen on the left, Donner Lake and Truckee, California can also be seen on the left. The main winding road in front is Old Hwy 40 and if you look close, you can see Rainbow Bridge on the right. Oh, and the bright light is the moon of course.

17 vertical images from a Canon 5Dsr were used for this one with a lens focal length of 24mm. Each shot was 30 second long, with an ISO of 125 and an aperture of f7.1. The final pixel dimensions are 16442 x 8374, this is another one that can be printed HUGE.

This panoramic image was created using a stitching program called PTGui. I tried Photoshop's photomerge feature but it struggled with this one. With PTGui, I could line the images up better and make sure all of the lights on the road lined up and were visible. It's a great program to have if you shoot a lot of stitched panos.
