Night lailatul qodar
Look for Lailatul Qadar Night

We are commanded to look for lailatul qadar. From 'Aisha radi' anha, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,
"Look for lailatul qadar in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan."
(HR Bukhari no 2020 and Muslim no 1169)

The occurrence of lailatul qadar in odd nights is more likely than even evenings. From Aishah also anha, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

"Seek lailatul qadar in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan." (HR Bukhari no. 2017)

The odd can be calculated from the beginning of the month, the night searched is the 21st, 23, 25, 27, and 29th nights. But it may be the lailatul qadar calculated from the remaining nights. In another hadith mentioned,

"May be lailatul qadar in the remaining nine days, may be in the remaining seven days, as well as in the remaining five days, as well as in the remaining three days" (Narrated by Bukhari). Therefore, if the month of Ramadan is 30 days, it means the thirty night is fulfilling night. If calculated from the last day, the 22nd night means the remaining nine days. The 24th night means the remaining seven days. This is what Abu Sa'id Al Khudri interpreted in the hadith of shahih. This is what the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam did without splitting the odd and even days.

Lailatul Qadar Night Signs

1- Sun conditions in the morning, rising in white without glowing rays in all directions

From Ubay bin Ka'ab radi 'anhu, he said,

"That night was a bright night of twenty-seven nights (from the month of Ramadan). And the signs are that in the morning the sun rises in white without emitting rays in all directions. "(Narrated by Muslim No. 762)

2- Even if the night is not hot, nor cold, the sun in the morning is not so bright that it looks reddish

From Ibn Abbas radi 'anhuma, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,

"Lailatul qadar is a night of ease and goodness, not too hot, nor too cold, in the morning the sun shines is not so bright and it looks reddish." (Narrated by Ath Thoyalisi and Al Baihaqi in Syu'abul Iman, see Jaami'ul Ahadits 18: 361. Sheikh Al Albani said that this hadeeth is shahih See Shahihul Jaami '5475)

But the mark is not to be searched. Ibn Hajar Al Asqalani rahimahullah said,

"There are some arguments that talk about the signs of lailatul qadar. But that does not seem to be unless the night has passed. "(Fath Al-Bari, 4: 260)

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) never sought a sign. What was done by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam was to extend worship only in the late days of Ramadan,

From 'Aisha radi' anha, he said, "The Messenger of Allah 'alaihi wa sallam was regular when entering the last 10 Ramadhan, he was earnest in worship (leaving his wives), revived the nights with worship, his wife to worship. "(HR Bukhari no. 2024 and Muslim no 1174)

The Sign of Someone Lailatul Qadar Night

Shaykh Khalid Al-Mushlih hafizhahullah states that there is no special sign if one has received Lailatul Qadar. His light, if we multiply continuous worship in the last ten days of Ramadhan, will surely get the full night of glory. That's what he said in one of his videos here.

It should also be understood that the way to bring the night can be done by doing Isya prayer, tarawih prayer (night prayer) and prayer shubuh. Doing these three prayers can be noted for having to pray overnight.

From 'Utsman bin' Affan radi 'anhu, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,

"Whoever attends the prayer 'Isya in congregation, then for him the reward of prayer half night. Who performs the prayer of 'Isya and Shubuh in congregation, then for him the salat is overnight. "(Narrated by Muslim No. 656 and Tirmidzi No. 221).

From Abu Dzar radhiyallahu 'anhu, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,

"Surely if a person is praying with a priest until the imam is finished, then he is counted for the reward of the prayer the rest of the night." (Narrated by Ahmad 5: 163. Shaykh Syu'aib Al-Arnauth states that this hadeeth is shahih according to Islamic terms)
