교환학생 프로그램(Visiting Students)
Masdar Institute offers students who are registered in a postgraduate level program in other universities the opportunity to enroll in Masdar Institute courses or participate in Masdar Institute research as part of their degree requirements at their home institute as a ‘visiting student’.
A visiting student is a student enrolled in a home institute who wishes to take courses or undertake research at Masdar Institute as part of the degree requirement with the approval of the home institute. Accepted visiting students are required to pay fees linked to their stay, including tuition, visa processing fee and health insurance. Masdar Institute accommodation may be available at additional cost if requested. Masdar Institute tuition fees can be waived based on faculty recommendations and approval from Masdar Institute.
Requirements
Visiting student applicants must provide a letter from the applicant’s home institution stating that the applicant is enrolled in a program and will continue to be enrolled during the visit period at Masdar Institute. The letter must stipulate that the visiting student will graduate from the home institution upon return from Masdar Institute.
They must also provide a statement identifying the funding source for all costs associated with the visiting appointment.
Visiting student applicants must also meet the standard Masdar Institute admission criteria, as follows:
o Applicant must be currently enrolled in a postgraduate degree in another institute
o The applicant must be currently enrolled in a postgraduate degree in another institute
o Hold a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of engineering or science
o English proficiency:
A TOEFL score of 577 for the paper-based exam, 233 for the computer-based exam, and 91 for the internet-based exam. Or an IELTS score of 6.5 (in the academic IELTS exam)*
o CGPA: Minimum 3.00 on a 4 point scale, or equivalent.
o Approval from the home institute
Visiting students will only be considered for admission after recommendation by the academic department and advisor approval (in case of research). Visiting students are eligible to study at Masdar Institute for one semester and may register for up to two courses. As such, the visiting student must make prior contact with a member of Masdar Institute faculty so they can grant permission to be the visiting student’s supervisor. A letter from the respective Masdar Institute faculty is required as part of the visiting student’s application.
